At LinkedComment AI, we take your privacy very seriously. This privacy policy describes what data we collect, how it is processed, and your control over it.

1. Data Collection and Usage

LinkedComment AI is a productivity extension designed to generate context-specific LinkedIn comments. To provide this service, the extension processes the following data:

Post Context: When you click the "Generate Comment" button, the extension reads the text content, images, or carousels of the specific LinkedIn post you are viewing. This data is processed temporarily to generate the comment and is not stored permanently.
User Preferences: Settings such as selected tone, language, and comment length are stored locally on your device via chrome.storage.local. We do not sync these to external servers.
Account Details: When you log in, your email and authentication token are secured through Supabase Auth to manage your subscription status.

2. Third-Party Services

To generate comments, post data is securely transmitted via API to our LLM provider (OpenRouter / Anthropic). No personal profile data or credentials are shared with these APIs. They only receive the text/image content of the post to analyze.

3. Security

We use industry-standard encryption to protect your credentials and transaction tokens. All API communications are performed securely via HTTPS protocols.

4. Your Controls

You can clear your cached account details or preferences at any time by signing out from the extension popup or removing the extension from your Google Chrome browser.
